I take it you only have a desktop A1200?
If you have a tower you should already have all the power connectors
etc., but without you'll need an external case for it, and IDE leads
cant be very long either, unless your 040 accelerator has SCSI, tho
SCSI CD-RW's are probably more expensive.
Anyway the easiest thing to do if you have a desktop A1200 is stick it
in the PC, after all if you have it on your Amiga then you can't use
that for anything else while it's cutting a CD (who cares if you lock
your PC up? :), and if you want to save mostly Amiga files on CD (not
just using it to "back up" cd's ;) then you could grab some cheap
ethernet cards (cheapo 10mbit PCI, and slightly more expensive PCMCIA
one for your A1200) and copy the files you want with that,
